We understand and recognise that many modern families don’t have strong associations to any particular religion, yet would still like to have a meaningful celebration to welcome a new baby or child to the family.
Tiny Toes are delighted to offer a Naming or Welcoming Ceremony as an alternative to a traditional Baby’s Christening. A Baby Naming or Welcoming Ceremony will give your child the option of following their own spiritual path when they become older, and is an opportunity to share your personal values and beliefs with your little bundle.
A Naming or Welcoming Ceremony is also a perfect way to introduce an adopted child into a wider circle of family and friends; and when people re-marry or enter into a new partnership, an informal ceremony followed by a family party is a great idea to announce the amalgamation of two families.
We work closely with families to create a ceremony that is unique as well as being tailored to your wishes and beliefs. We believe that your day should be informal, fun and above all, personal to you. If you require guidance on the content of your ceremony, we are here to help, and can suggest suitable readings, poetry and songs that will enhance your celebration. We can provide as much or as little guidance as necessary.
Katie and Louise acknowledge that amongst family and friends in attendance, there may be some for whom religious faith is an important part of life; therefore it is possible to have a religious reading, prayer or piece of music played as part of your ceremony.
